Bolingbrook Bar Voted Best in the 'Burbs

The overwhelming winner was ...

A local business that hasn't even been open a year has already snagged the title of "Best Bar" in Patch's most recent poll.

Readers in Plainfield, Bolingbrook and Romeoville nominated nearly a dozen watering holes for the latest "Best Of" contest, but the results are clear: Bolingbrook's The Beer Market is the big winner, with 48 percent of the vote.

Plainfield's Durbin's came in second place, with 43 percent of the more than 15,000 votes cast. Fox's in Plainfield came in third.

Featuring more than 500 beers — from craft brews to ciders to stouts and fruit-infused creations — The Beer Market also has a full food menu featuring pizza, salads, burgers and even chicken and waffles. Indecisive beer lovers can even indulge in a "beer flight" to try a variety of brews.

The bar opened in August 2013 in Bolingbrook's Promenade, 641 E. Boughton Rd. It's open from 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday.
