Village Offers Fall Tree Sale, Cleanup

Autumn begins in Romeoville.

Romeoville residents looking to spruce up their yards can choose from a variety of trees and have them delivered, courtesy of the village, during a fall tree sale.

The deadline for orders and payment is Friday, Sept. 30, and trees will be delivered within village limits on Oct. 1 and 2. Trees will be planted wherever the customer designates with a marker, stake or pre-dug hole. Holes should be 36 inches wide by 18 inches deep.

Order forms and checks, payable to the Village of Romeoville, should be sent to the attention of Assistant Village Manager Dawn Caldwell at 1050 W. Romeo Road, Romeoville, IL 60446.

Fall cleanup kicks off Sept. 27

Romeoville residents will enjoy unlimited pickup of large trash items on their regularly scheduled garbage pickup day beginning Monday, Sept. 27 and ending Friday, Sept. 30.

No tires, hazardous waste or construction materials will be accepted.

Grass clippings must be in Kraft biodegradable bags or an approved container. Tree chipper service will also be available.
