Sign up Now to Save on Fee for Annual Car Show

Event will feature fun for the entire family in downtown Romeoville June 10

Car enthusiasts who love to show off their Little Deuce Coups, Mustangs, Mopars  (as well as classics, muscle cars, antiques or motorcycles) can save five bucks by preregistering for Romeoville’s annual Downtown Redevelopment Car Show, planned for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 10, in downtown Romeoville at Townhall Drive and Phelps Avenue.

Those who sign up to participate in the show by Sunday, June 3, will pay $15, while day-of-the-show registration (which closes at noon) will cost $20.

Admission is free of charge for spectators, who can spend the day oohing and aahing over the classic vehicles at the show, which is being coordinated by Showcase Classics Inc. of Mokena.

The event will feature plenty of activities for the entire family, said Marissa Cardoni, special events coordinator for the Village of Romeoville's Parks and Recreation Department.

“There will be food vendors, inflatables for the kids and micro-reality racing from 11 (a.m.) to 3 (p.m.),” Cardoni said.

The car show will feature 33 classes, with a first, second and third-place trophy awarded in each class, as well as dash plaques, a participants’ choice award, best of show trophy and an award for best Chevy.
