Romeoville Mayoral Race 2013 Results: Noak Defeats McMichael

Village President John Noak defeated former Chicago Bear Steve McMichael following a tough re-election campaign.

Incumbent Mayor John Noak has defeated political newcomer Steve McMichael — a former Chicago Bear. 

Noak received 61 percent of 4,218 total votes.

“I am honored that the people of Romeoville have placed their trust in me and our entire Romeoville United team for another four years,” Noak said in a released statement, according to the Chicago Tribune. “The progress we’ve made the last four years has been a true team effort.”

McMichael's "Steve McMichael for Mayor" website declared "We Won!!!" Tuesday afternoon. That statement was taken down before election results were posted.
