Presidential Poll: After Romney's Win in Florida, Who are You Favoring?

Romeoville Patch will begin polling its readers on a weekly basis to gauge their interest in the election, its candidates and what issues are most important to them.

The GOP primary race continues, with Newt Gingrich vowing to continue his battle to become president despite losing by a significant margin to Mitt Romney in Florida.

Meanwhile, Romney’s campaign took a hit after the former Massachusetts governor asserted he was “not concerned about the very poor” because there is a “safety net” in place for them. While Romney was claiming his comment was a “misstatement,” Gingrich seemed supremely confident, laying out his agenda for his first day in the White House.

And now, the Illinois primary is just more than a month away.

And at the end of the Illinois primary (March 20) and general election (Nov. 8), we hope these numbers will provide insight into how attitudes and ideologies shifted throughout what seems sure to be a cutthroat political atmosphere.

In case you’re curious, as of Friday, Ron Paul had the most votes in , while President Barack Obama and Romney were tied and Gingrich trailed by just a few votes.
