Carnival contract

Also on the agenda is a proposed contract with All Around Amusements, a carnival ride vendor seeking to provide rides, games and concessions at RomeoFest.

In exchange for being the sole provider of carnival amusements, the contract requires the company to provide 100 complimentary Mega Passes to be handed out by the RomeoFest committee. The passes, which allow carnival-goers an unlimited number of rides, are valued at $40 each, for a total of $4,000.

All Around would also be required to donate $2,000 for grass restoration and an additional $2,500 to help fund evening entertainment at the fest on Aug. 4.

The contract would give All Around the right to be the sole provider of shows, amusement rides, inflatables, fun booths and merchandise booths. The company would also have to agree before the village could enter into a contract with any other concessions vendor.

The contract requires All Around to pay the village 40 percent of the proceeds from the sale of admission tickets for shows and rides.
