New Businesses, Church Move to Romeoville

Spectrum Technologies moves to Romeoville
Spectrum Technologies will be building just over 17,000 square feet in the Windham Lakes Business Park.  Founded in 1987, Spectrum Technologies manufactures and distributes affordable, leading-edge measurement information technology to the agricultural market throughout the world.   The company's technology is focused on five primary product groups including Weather Monitoring & Irrigation Scheduling, Nutrient Management Tools, Integrated Pest Management Tools and Soil Moisture & Quality Measurement. "We welcome Spectrum Technologies as another one of or leading business innovators", said Mayor John Noak.   Today Spectrum Technologies has over 15,000 customers in over 60 countries.
 
They have received numerous awards from the American Society of Agricultural Engineers for innovations in product and systems design.  Some of Spectrum's customers include Pioneer Hi-Bred, Monsanto, Syngenta, USDA-ARS, Dow AgroSciences, Chiquita Brands, Dole, and all major universities. Growers, Ag consultants, and golf course superintendents are users of the company's products. Spectrum Technologies will have 30 employees at this location.

Paragon Business Park
First American Properties, represented by Meridian Design Build, will be constructing the third building in the Paragon Business Park.  Paragon Business Park is 48 acres located at the intersection of Taylor Road and Belmont Drive. The new 45,000 s.f. building will join existing businesses such as Enersys and Allegra Print and Imaging which are currently taking advantage of the great access to I-55 from Rte 53 and Weber Road.  

Trail Terminal locates Headquarters in Romeoville
Trail Terminal, represented by Darius Jusaitis and Robert Blinstrubas, will be redeveloping the site at 721 Parkwood for their new headquarters.   The redevelopment will include a truck terminal with 22,500 s.f. of light warehousing and a truck repair center of 5,905 s.f.  Improvements to the site include an addition to the front façade as well as solid fencing for additional screening.  The new location will provide 20 additional jobs for Romeoville.

Sanctuary Church to Locate in Romeoville
The Sanctuary Church, represented by Ronn Smith and Patti Bernhard, was welcomed to Romeoville as they were approved for their new location at 1251 Windham Parkway.  The new facility will include a church school, educational classrooms, office space, and place of worship.  The Sanctuary currently has 108 members. They plan to have five (5) employees and possibly 10 volunteers at the church.
