Patch is working hard to make sure voters have all the information they need before they head to the polls on April 5, but we need your help.

Starting next week, Romeoville Patch will begin profiling candidates for local offices, from the to the , and more.

But let’s face it, these races are not about us—they’re about you, the taxpayers and the voters of Romeoville. So we want to hear from you.

What are the hot-button issues you’d like to see candidates address? What’s important this election season? And how should elected officials spend taxpayer dollars?

  • Three four-year seats on the Valley View board and one two-year seat
  • Three spots on the Romeoville village board. Village Clerk Bernice Holloway is running unopposed.
  • Two seats on the Des Plaines Valley Public Library Board
  • Two spots on the Lockport Township Park District Board
  • One spot on the Lockport Township Fire Protection District Board
  • Two seats on the Joliet Junior College Board of Trustees
  • Three spots on the Will County Regional Board of School Trustees
