Familiar Faces in Romeoville Village Board Contest

Two incumbents and a former trustee are vying for three spots on the board.

Candidates began filing Monday for three spots on the Romeoville Village Board that will be contested in the April 5, 2011 election.

Incumbents Linda Palmiter, 210 Pell Ave., and Sue Micklevitz, 23 Honeybear Ln., are both vying for another four-year term. Fellow Romeoville First party member Kenneth Griffin, 600 Bridgeman Ln., also tossed his hat into the ring, along with Independent Andy Goitia, 1561 Benzie Cr., who previously served on the board.

Bernice Holloway, 1945 Wheatfield Dr., appointed last month to fill the remainder of her late husband's term as village clerk, will also seek re-election. Holloway filed as a member of the Romeoville First party.
