Resident Invited to Join McAsey's Education Advisory Committee

State Rep. Emily McAsey invites area residents to join her Education Advisory Committee for a meeting on Monday, March 5 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Isle a la Cache Museum, 501 E. Romeo Road, Romeoville.  The committee meeting provides a forum to discuss ideas to help foster growth and a healthy learning environment for area students.

“My Education Advisory Committee helps me to be a more effective legislator by allowing me to discuss education issues directly with parents and educators in our community,” McAsey said. “Please join me to share your ideas about measures that will assist our schools as they continue to create a positive environment for our students.”

Rep. McAsey will host an open discussion about the education of the children in our community and talk about legislation pending before the Illinois General Assembly. At this meeting, the committee will also review submissions for Rep. McAsey’s annual “Why I Love the Land of Lincoln” poster contest. All interested residents of the 85th district and members of the local education community are invited to become a member of McAsey’s Education Advisory Committee.
