Candidates Vie For Illinois House, Senate Seats

With the first day of filing on Monday, Nov. 28, the 2012 election season is officially under way. Here's a look at candidates who have filed for state senate and house races in the March 20, 2012 primary. Filing ended at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5.

Included are districts that touch on all or portions of Romeoville, Bolingbrook, Plainfield, Shorewood, Joliet, Crest Hill, Lockport and Oswego. The candidates include those for the new 98th State House of Representatives District and the new 49th State Senate District. If you’re not sure which districts you’re in, check the State Board of Elections website. An asterisk (*) indicates that the candidate is an incumbent.
