UPDATE: Woman Killed in Weber Road Crash

A Crest Hill woman died following a two-car collision Friday morning near Weber and Romeo roads, the Will County Coroner's office reported.

Elizabeth Spellman, 44, of Crest Hill, was pronounced dead at 11:05 a.m. at , according to a coroner's office press release.

Romeoville Sgt. Bryan Bulmann said Spellman's vehicle was heading southbound on Weber when it spun out of control, ending up in the northbound lanes, where it was struck by another car.

Bulmann said the ’s accident reconstruction unit was called in following the crash. He did not have information Friday morning on whether anyone else was injured.

According to the coroner's office, the accident remains under investigation by the Romeoville Police Department.
