Tour Station, See Fire Demos at Fire Prevention Week Event

Fire Station 3, 698 Birch Lane, will host the festivities on Oct. 15.

They don’t just fight fires — they work to prevent them.

And on Oct. 15, the will host a day of activities to cap off Fire Prevention Week, including a sprinkler system simulation, car extrication demonstration and live fire demonstration.

Residents are invited to the event, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Fire Station 3, 698 N. Birch Lane.

The event will also give community members a chance to check out fire trucks, tour the station and help others by donating blood at a drive conducted by Heartland Blood Center.

The event also includes free giveaways and raffles, plus free food and drinks.
