Tire Thieves Put Wheels of $417K Heist in Motion: Police
Container of tires swiped from lot in Bolingbrook, and police lieutenant says crooks "most likely hooked up and drove away."
How does a crew of bad guys steal 1,300 tires?
“They most likely hooked up (to the container) and drove away,” is the explanation provided by Bolingbrook Police Lt. Mike Rompa.
He said officers still are investigating an incident that occurred sometime between Jan. 10-13 at Tireco, located at 700 Gateway Drive in Bolingbrook.

Police reported a lock was cut to a secured gate and a shipping container was taken from the business lot. The container was stocked with more than 1,300 vehicle tires.
