Teens Rob Man of Wallet in Cathedral Area

Joliet police say the pair approached the man as he walked on Taylor Street, told him they had a gun and demanded his wallet.

A Joliet man walking in the Cathedral Area at about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday was robbed of his wallet by two teens, police said.

The 49-year-old victim was in the area of Taylor and William streets when he was approached by the pair, who asked him where he lived, Joliet Police Cmdr. Rich Demick said.

When he declined to answer, one of the teens told him he had a gun and demanded that he hand over his wallet, which he did, Demick said. They then fled on foot, he said.

No gun was actually displayed, and there was no information available on the contents of the wallet or how much the victim might have lost, Demick said.

The suspects are described as being black, standing about 5-foot-7 and weighing about 140 pounds.

Reality is Obama ain't taking no guns from nobody. Second of all if two teenagers can take your wallet because you are to scared to knock the crap out of em then believe you me, you are to weak to have a gun. All those 2 thugs would have done is took it from him went and robbed somebody else with a gun the next time around.

Another thought these 2 punks never displayed a gun...I'm sorry for the victim but Americans need to learn how to fight before they can carry a gun.

Look to the right of you at the most popular articles. I see crimes committed by more than just blacks. Yet, 3 of the commits are about CCW AND BLACK CRIME. Now who in their right mind would want anyone who thinks like that carrying a gun??/

I agree. A little more time at the local Y and a little less time watching cable news shows and this country would be a whole lot better.
