Three DUI's within a year.....A good reporter would look up the dispositions of the first two cases and tell us what has gone on with this guy. He should be revoked by now and sitting in jail for at least a year or two.

Liddell....I'm talking about.
Karen Sorensen (Editor) December 05, 2012 at 04:50 AM
John, no need to criticize my reporting skills -- just ask and I'm glad to answer your question, if I can. I didn't list any dispositions because there are none -- his two earlier cases are still pending. Liddell's license has been suspended since before 2009, but we both know that doesn't stop people from climbing behind the wheel. I don't know what his bond is -- it's not on the jail log yet -- but since he's still being held there, it's likely pretty high, perhaps to keep him from racking up more charges.

The guy is a bum. His car should be siezed and auctioned. Nothing but jail is going to keep him from repeating.
Tricia December 12, 2012 at 05:33 AM
He's really not a bum...he's a great dad...a loving son...a wonderful friend who needs help!!!! I thank God his dumb decisions and plain foolishness didn't kill someone and now I pray that he will get it together and put down the bottle...be the man he was called to be!! He may have to do it behind bars but I pray that whatever happens he gets his life together...this is such a shame! And let he without sin cast the first stone...we don't have the authority to judge someone else's mistakes.
John December 12, 2012 at 07:05 AM
I disagree. He's a bum. He's beyond help. He needed help after his first DUI this year and obviously before that. But another DUI only two months later....and another DUI including hit & run 6 or 7 months after that? This guy obviously doesnt put down the bottle. I'm sure he's a great dad/husband/son to be around. *rolleyes* Three DUI's in about 9 months...imagine how many times he didnt get caught. I dont care how much he drinks, that's his problem, but why does he have to drink while he's driving? Hopefully he gets about 5 years to think about it.

That's my cousin by blood and I know him Well grew up with him shared the same school fears and joys. Our family has been thru a lot So don't.show criticism to what you don't know. If is a wonderful man and father probably the greatest friend you could ever find. So please stop with. If negativity towards my family.

Ladies just know that they talked about JESUS... Some ppl don't think their sin is equal to other sins. John is not better than Linzey, he may be just as bigger drinker than Linzey. He just haven't gotten caught YET! Everyone is entitled to a comment, this maybe his everyday life just sitting at a computer and knock the next person, Linzey wasn't the killer of the little kids that lost their life because of the ignorance of a man with no heart. John is one that needs to be kept up in prayer, while we pray for others... Maybe John doesn't know that it's not our place to be judgmental of others, maybe there is no understanding of the word of GOD. I know that in the world today, ppl are always talking and judging others that they don't know. Here say is what brings enjoyment to others. We know John doesn't know Linzey and may never return to this page to read another comment that's posted, but no one knows Linzey situation... How do you know if Linzey even had a designated driver? No one knows, but as humans we are so quick to talk and judge someone else's mistakes when you are not the ones to talk until we get the finger prints that we put on our mirror clean, to look at ourselves. My prayers go out to the Liddell family because ppl are going to talk about everything they can. Linzey wasn't a killer he just made a few mistakes in his life, that he can't take back... This is how we all learn, FROM OUR MISTAKES! No one is better then t he next! {MESSAGE}

I mean Tricia. nobody knows our pain as a family or what we have been thru as a family. Before you start judging think about your own sins. True my cousin is not without fault, but he still is a human being and really a GREAT person. Me personally I will stand by him thru this and pray that while incarcerated he learns a valued lesson. Regardless of the way you may feel about him it's your freedom of speech to have just don't try to judge him if you don't know him. With this being said I Love ya Linzey Liddell and together as a family we WILL do this time with you and support you always.
John December 19, 2012 at 07:04 AM
"but no one knows Linzey situation... How do you know if Linzey even had a designated driver?" Not sure what you're talking about. Obviously, he didn't. I've never heard of a passenger getting 3 dui's and a hit & run within 9 months. You're right, as far as we know, Linzey has been lucky and not killed anyone yet. But he didnt just make a few mistakes in his life. He made three in 9 months and obviously more since his license was suspended since before 2009. So how many dui's has he had in his life? I would bet money that it's more than three. He hasn't learned from his mistakes and neither has his family. Where was the support before? I think they are just as much to blame as he is. Oh, but they pray for him. Guess what, prayers have a 50% chance of being answered. Why didn't they take real action and get him some help. It would have been a lot cheaper. Take his car away at least. Instead, they knew he had a problem yet didn't do anything but pray.
John December 19, 2012 at 07:14 AM
My heart is with the innocent people that are affected by intoxicated drivers. Thankfully, the vehicle that your cousin hit while drunk driving and then took off was unattended. Unfortunately it's the contributing members of the society who have to pay to clean up his mess. This is why I made the comment of auctioning his vehicle to not only repay damages, but to keep him from repeating since his family is no help.

@ John... After looking deeper into this, I came to find that what I said earlier was that this is your entertainment... I seen you have had messages deleted once before on another posting... It's said MISERY LOVES COMPANY. Maybe if you pray and believe in GOD your faith was stronger you would know that GOD MAY NOT COME WHEN YOU WANT HIM TOO, BUT HE IS ALWAYS ON TIME! And your belief of 50% of prayers being answered would be 100%. You don't know what his family did... Your continuos wording of judging someone and their family is very cruel, but understandable for a man that doesn't sound like he believes in GOD! And to your sense... You can only help a person that wants help! I'm sure your parents took you to Church, but from the looks of it, no one could make you believe in GOD, prayer... Etc. Unless, you know his family or him personally how can you get in here and degrade him or his family... Especially when you see he has a family member on here. Like, where is the care in your heart... Right now, your are just as bad as the CT killer... And evidently, his family prayers has been working well over 50% bc Linzey has NOT killed anyone, nor his self. Physical damage in a hit and run with no bodily harm to anyone, 3 DUI's and this guy is still living... I'm sure if he had more than 3 it would have been mention, but like I said this is your entertainment! I'm sure your finger printed mirror doesn't clearly see the designated drvr comment cause you can't see yourself!
Missy Thomas December 19, 2012 at 01:59 PM
Con't message... I have a job, something I hope your using your computer to find, because you seem to not have one, instead of criticizing people of their flaws... I hope things work out for you. I'm grateful, my messages touched you enough to comment to me. I only PRAY they get thru and change your heart on life. Help you to focus in on things like helping to make a change to the world or helping those that you see need help. One day when you need GOD and cry out for him remember...ask for forgiveness of your sins, none of us are perfect, and FYI: Linzey sins is his own, long as he ask for forgiveness he can be saved and changed, can you say the same?
Missy Thomas December 19, 2012 at 02:12 PM
I will keep you and your family in continued prayer. Please, pray for John as well. Let his time of entertainment stand as it is and not comment bc on this website he is just a name, a hidden person full of unGODly words. People tend to speak with devilish hearts over the computer, bc cit is a coward way to express ignorance, bc if you and him were in a room together these words would not take place. (Only speaking truth) let his misery be accompanied within himself. Stay prayed up and support your Cousin, your cousin is grown, and you can only tell a grown person what is NOT best for him and being incarcerated is a BLESSING in disguise, many prayers may have been answered, GOD plan is never wrong, this could be his time to stop, and focus on what it seems to have been in his life GOD, prayer. GOD could have said I am not done with you yet, by having him sit still and not bring harm to himself or others. Know GOD is a good GOOD and he has you and your family in his hands, covered by the BLOOD of JESUS, and NO one can take that from you. Claim VICTORY today... A Trillion for GOD, the devil NONE!!!

@ John I have lost a many friends to drunk drivers as Well as been tumbled by one on a Sunday morning and Where I live you can't even buy liquor on Sunday. So please spare me your version of your heart felt sarcasm. As for us his family you know not what we have done for him and you never will. Like I said you haven't lived our lives and considering you are still commenting on his name only you haven't lived yours as Well. Just as missy has said I pray that you learn God's Love and ask for forgiveness before you faith arrives you. I asked you before speak not of what you know nothing about, because I'm sure your instant messenger or other pages are going off with other things besides my family. So to you I say have a "BLESSED DAY". @ Missy I appreciate all the encouragement you have posted and I Thank God for people who understand that a man is still a man even in God's eyes. "Judge not, yet ye be judged." My prayers for my cousin have been answered he has come to a point Where he can do nothing but stand still. Praying that while he is in there he maintains great health and finds that inter strength that we all were taught as children. So please continue to keep us in your prayers and uplift our name.
