A man who walked into a 7-Eleven and exited without paying for two sandwiches was caught before he could eat the evidence and charged with two felonies and one misdemeanor, according to Romeoville Deputy Police Chief Steve Lucchessi.
Luchessi said James Leo, 35, of 32 Arlington, Romeoville, was charged with burglary, retail theft and criminal trespass to property after an incident on Monday morning at the 7-Eleven on Alexander Circle.
"At 4:35 a.m., we received a call from the 7-Eleven on Alexander Circle of a male identified as James Leo by the clerk who said he took two sandwiches without paying and left the store," Lucchessi said. "We located him in the back yard of his house—in the 30 block of Arlington. He did have the sandwiches in his possession."
