Romeoville Police Blotter: Resisting an Officer, Marijuana Charges

Arrests reported by Romeoville police, May 11-27.

May 11


Jesse Ramos, 20, of the 0-100 block of Elgin, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at 2:26 a.m. in the 0-100 block of Elgin and charged with obstructing an officer, police said. A 17-year-old juvenile was also arrested on a curfew violation charge, according to police.

May 18


Christopher Hernandez, 20, of the 100 block of Luana Road, Joliet, was arrested at 1:01 a.m. at Weber Road and Lakewood Falls Drive and charged with driving on a suspended license, resisting an officer, possession of cannabis and drug equipment, obstructing identification and no front registration, police said.

Gabriela Alfaro, 33, of the 0-100 block of Rockledge Drive, Romeoville, was arrested at 11:02 p.m. in the 0-100 block of Rockledge on an in-state warrant, police said.

May 23


Syed Jaffery, 30, of the 500 block of Wynnbrooke Road, Romeoville, was arrested at 2:34 p.m. at a business in the 400 block of Weber Road and charged with retail theft, police said.

Omar Hernandez, 22, of the 700 block of Rogers Road, Romeoville, was arrested at 7:12 p.m. at McKool and Spangler Road and charged with driving on a suspended license, illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment, police said.

May 25


Michael bennett, 37, of the 100 block of Garden Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 6:51 p.m. at Gorman and Dartmoor and charged with possession of cannabis.

Darnell King, 19, of the 1000 block of 76th Street, Chicago, was arrested at 7:10 p.m. at Weber and Taylor roads and charged with possession of drug equipment, police said.

May 27


Andre Armstrong Bryant, 22, of the 1900 block of Tilson, Romeoville, was arrested at 1:31 a.m. in the 1900 block of Tilson on an in-state warrant and charge of resisting an officer, according to police.

Antoinette Jackson, 43, of the 1600 block of Mayfield, Joliet, was arrested at 2:55 p.m. at a business in the 400 block of Weber Road on a charge of retail theft, police said.
