Romeoville Police Blotter: Fireplace, Appliances Stolen from Home

Incidents reported by Romeoville police, July 1-6.

July 1


Someone tore off the passenger-side door handle on a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 100 block of Cherrywood Court, causing $200 in damage, police said.

July 3


A property maintenance worker reported that someone stole a fireplace, refrigerator, oven, water meter and copper pipe, worth of a total of $6,900, from a home in the 500 block of Anna Lane, according to police.

Someone stole a $200 game console from a home in the 200 block of Healy Avenue, according to police.

July 5


A firework may have been behind damage caused to a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Somerset Drive, police said. The quarter panel of the vehicle was punctured, causing $500 in damage.

July 6


Someone stole a purse from an open vehicle parked in a driveway in the 200 block of Violet Drive, police said. Estimated value of the purse and its contents is $426.
