Romeoville Pizza Driver Pistol Whipped and Robbed

Romeoville Police are asking for help finding three men who allegedly pistol-whipped and robbed a female pizza delivery driver Tuesday night.

Just before 10:30 p.m., a woman was making a delivery to a residence on Dunbridge Lane when three men wearing hoods "pulled her from her vehicle and demanded money," a police statement said.

"The driver was forcefully sat on the seat of the vehicle and held at gunpoint by one subject who was African American, while the subjects demanded money, and rifled through the vehicle," the police statement said. "This one offender struck the victim in the head with the firearm during the encounter."

Money, her cell phone and the pizzas were all stolen. The alleged criminals ran east bound from the scene. The victim suffored a minor head injury but did not require medical attention, the statement read.
