Romeoville Man Killed in Weber Road Crash

A 41-year-old Romeoville man was killed early Monday in a crash at Weber and Taylor roads, police said.

Cmdr. Ken Kroll said Don Trasmonte was pronounced dead at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital following the 5:15 a.m. crash.

Police said a green 2005 Dodge was heading south on Weber when it struck Trasmonte's Mitsubishi, which was traveling east on Taylor and making a left turn onto Weber road.

Romeoville police detained the driver of the Dodge, a 30-year-old from Crest Hill, for investigation following the crash. The crash remains under investigation, police said.

The Lockport Township Fire Protection Department and the Romeoville Fire Department responded to the crash, according to police.
