Robbery Suspect Was On Parole

One of the men arrested and charged with pistol-whipping and robbing a pizza delivery woman was on parole at the time of the alleged incident.

Rene Ramos, 19, was in jail on two charges of burglary and theft.  He was parolled May 2, 2014, according to Illinois Department of Corrections website.

The burglury charge had a 3-year sentence from DuPage County from November 2012. The theft charge is from Will County in December 2013.

The website said his admission date was July 19, 2013.

Romeoville Police arrested Ramos, along with Deon Brown, 21, on Wednesday and charged them with agrevated robbery, said Deputy Chief Steven Lucchesi.

A third person, a juvenile, was also arrested. His involvement with the crime is still be investigated, Lucchesi said.
