Property Crimes: Stolen Bike, Car; Broken Window
A number of property damage and stolen property reports were filed with the Romeoville Police Department.
The following property crimes were reported to the :
Tools, ladders and other items, valued at a total of $2,525, were reported stolen at about 9:50 a.m. Aug. 9 from a locked storage facility, the address of which was not disclosed.
A brake rotor was thrown at a house in the 1100 block of Cherrywood Court at about 11:20 p.m. Aug. 24, causing $1,200 in damage to a vehicle and the residence's screen and front door.

A sharp objecte was used to damage a tire of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Concord Avenue. The report was filed at about 10:20 a.m. Aug. 26; the damage estimated at $150.
A BB gun is believed to hae been used to damage a window of a residence in the 700 block of Farragut. The report was filed at about 6:30 p.m. Aug. 27; the damage estimated at about $1,000.

Black spray paint was used to the the street in the area of New Castle and Weslake Parkway. The report was filed at about 6:15 a.m. Aug. 28; cost to remove the paint was estimated to be about $100.
A bicycle valued at $600 was reported stolen at about 5:50 p.m. Aug. 30 from the driveway of a residence in the 600 block of Iola.
A customer at a gas station in the 1100 block of Independence Boulevard is accused of pumping $67.49 in gas into his vehicle and driving away without paying at about 9:55 a.m. Aug. 31.
A vehicle valued at $12,000 was reported stolen at about 10:20 a.m. Sept. 2 from a parking lot in the 100 block of Highpoint.
The exterior of a residence was defaced with spray paint in the 400 block of Tallman. The report was filed at about 7:25 a.m. Sept. 4; damage is estimated at about $100.
Several storm sewer lids, valued at a total of $60, were reported stolen at about 9:15 a.m. Sept. 4 in the area of Abbeywood and Honeytree.
