Property Crimes: House Burglaries, Vandalism

Romeoville police reports also indicate several vehicles and two homes were damaged or defaced.

The following property crimes were reported to the Romeoville Police Department:

Spray paint was used to vandalize a vehicle parked in an alley behind a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Freesia. Report made at 7:10 p.m. Oct. 16; damage estimated at $100.

Spray paint was used to deface a garage door of a residence in the 100 block of Freesia. Report made at 7:53 p.m. Oct. 16; damage estimated at $100.

A generator, snow blower, pool cue, tool box and air compressor, valued at a total of $900, taken from the garage of a residence in the 400 block of Hamrick. Report made at 6:40 p.m. Oct. 29.

A motorcycle radio was taken and an unknown substance used to damage a motorcycle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 300 block of Hickory. Report made at 2:24 p.m. Oct. 29; damage estimated at $200.

Black shoe polish was used to deface the siding of a house in the 300 block of Montrose Drive. Report made at 8:59 a.m. Nov. 1; damage estimated at $50.

Gift cards, cash, a debit card and other items were taken from a purse left in an unlocked car parked at a business in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive. The debit card was used several times before it was canceled. Report made at 11:56 a.m. Nov. 2; total value of loss $500.

A Bose Wave radio/CD play valued at $350 taken from a residence in the 600 block of Normantown Road. Report made at 5:17 p.m. Nov. 3.

A sharp object was used to damage two tires on a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 300 block of Richmond Drive. Report made at 10:15 a.m. Nov. 4.
