Police Report $5,300 in Electrical Components, Copper Wiring Stolen in Parkwood Burglary

Also, laptop and iPad reported missing in burglary on the 200 block of Violet Drive.

The following incidents were reported by the Romeoville Police Department:

Dec. 10: A burglary was reported in the 600 block of Parkwood. Electrical components and copper wiring were taken from the location by unknown person(s). Estimated value of the items taken is $5,300. Time: 1:26 p.m.

Dec. 13: A burglary to motor vehicle was reported in the 300 block of Hemlock. Shoes and a cake decorating kit were removed from an unlocked vehicle by unknown person(s). Estimated value of the items is $200. Time: 5:15 p.m.

Dec. 13: A residential burglary was reported in the 200 block of Violet Drive. Unknown person(s) broke a window of the residence and took a game console, laptop, iPad and currency from the home. Estimated value of the items taken and to repair the window is $1,504. Time: 7:11 p.m.

Dec. 15: A customer of a business in the 1300 block of Normantown Road reported a theft over $500. An unknown person noticed an unattended purse outside the victim’s vehicle and took it. Estimated value of the purse and its contents is $635. Time: 7:09 p.m.

Dec. 16: A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 400 block of Murphy. Unknown person(s) defaced the fence at the residence. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $100. Time: 12:16 p.m.

Dec. 17: A resident of the 1700 block of Raleigh Trail reported a burglary to motor vehicle. Unknown person(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and took a purse from it. Estimated value of the purse and contents is $118. Time: 2:27 a.m.
