Police Department: Residential Burglary on Brassfield Results in Reported Loss of More than $1,700

Also, police report a concrete saw is swiped from a construction site on Phelps Avenue.

The following incidents were reported by the Romeoville Police Department:

Nov. 15: An attempted burglary was reported in the 0-100 block of Phelps Avenue. An unknown subject attempted to gain entry into the business by breaking the glass door. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $500. Time: 1:16 a.m.

Nov. 15: A residential burglary was reported in the 900 block of Brassfield. Unknown person(s) entered the residence through a broken window and took a laptop computer, iPad and cash. Estimated cost of the items taken and to repair the damage is $1,705. Time: 2:13 p.m.

Nov. 18: A criminal damage to property was reported in the 200 block of East Savannah. Unknown person(s) damaged a mailbox. Estimated cost of replacement is $30. Time: 7:18 a.m.

Nov. 20: A residential burglary was reported in the 0-100 block of Honeybear. Unknown person(s) entered the residence and took cash from the home. The door was damaged at this time. Estimated cost to repair the door and of the items taken is $312. Time: 2:08 p.m.

Nov. 20: A theft over $500 was reported in the 0-100 block of Phelps. Unknown person(s) took a concrete saw from a construction site. Estimated value of the saw is $1,100. Time: 2:58 p.m.
