Police Blotter: Vandals Drive Golf Cart into Pond
Incidents reported by the Romeoville Police Department, July 19-27.

Golf cart caper
Vandals struck a golf course in the 1700 block of Renwick Road, taking a Clubcar parked on the property and driving it into a pond. The culprits also damaged a fairway, greens, flagpoles and hole markers, causing an estimated $8,280 in damage, according to an incident report.

Stolen wheels
A thief nabbed two bicycles left unattended in the yard of a home in the 0-100 block of Bristol, police said.

Gas stolen
A customer drove away without paying after pumping about $20 worth of gas into a vehicle at a business in the 0-100 block of Alexander Circle, according to police.
Purloined parts
A thief or thieves stole catalytic converters from cars parked in front of a business in the 1400 block of Joliet Road, police said. The converters are worth an estimated $1,600.
Smashed windshield
A vandal used a blunt object to break the rear windshield of a vehicle parked on the street in front of a home in the 700 block of Hudson, according to a police report.
