Tuesday, June 14

Traffic violations

Romeoville police charged Tania Ramirez, 30, 2413 Trumbull St., Chicago, with driving with suspended registration, an uninsured motor vehicle, no driver’s license and improper use of registration following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Murphy Drive.

  • Romeoville police charged Christian Ramirez-Anaya, 20, 1005 Summit, Joliet, with driving with a suspended license, an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to display two license plates at Route 53 and McKool Avenue.
  • Eleazar Villalobos, 32, 1243 Inverrary Ln., Palatine, was charged with driving with no driver’s license, an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Taylor Road, according to police.
Sunday, June 12

Criminal damage to property

A resident of the 900 block of Prairie Clover told police a rock was used to damage a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence. Estimated cost of the damage is $1,300.

Saturday, June 11

Traffic violations

  • Romeoville police said they charged Gilberto Carrillo, 21, 401 Hebbard St., Joliet, with having no driver’s license and speeding during a traffic stop at Route 53 and Airport Road.
  • Johnnie Roy, 56, 154 Highpoint, Romeoville, was charged with expired registration, uninsured motor vehicle and was served an outstanding Cook County warrant following a traffic stop at Airport and Weber roads, police said.
  • Police said they charged Reyes Pedroza, 40, 606 Preston Drive, Bolingbrook, with no driver’s license, uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed at Route 53 and Normantown Road.

DUI, other violations

Christopher Dummer, 22, 731 Hudson Ave., Romeoville, was charged with DUI, uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane use and illegal transportation of alcoholic liquor following a police traffic stop at Weber and Taylor roads.   

Residential burglary

A resident of the 300 block of Eaton reported a tool box and furnace were taken from the residence. Estimated cost of the items is $190.

Friday, June 10

Traffic violations

  • Fabiola Escamilla, 40, 1485 Coreopsis Court, Romeoville, was charged with driving with no valid driver’s license following a traffic stop at Weber and Normantown roads, police said.
  • Police said they charged Alma Cortes, 39, 205 Cedarbend Drive, Romeoville, with a traffic sign violation and no driver’s license at Naperville and Honeytree drives.

Theft

A business in the 800 block of Bluff Road reported the theft of merchandise that was loaded in a trailer for shipment. Estimated cost of the merchandise is $220,922.

June 9

Reckless driving

Romeoville police arrested Carl Librizzi, 55, 24 Juliet Road, Romeoville, on charges of reckless driving, traffic sign violation and failure to exercise due care following a traffic stop in the 400 block of New Ave.

June 8

Retail theft

Romeoville police charged Timothy Gans, 30, 23061 Mound Road, Joliet, with retail theft following his arrest in the 400 block of Weber Road, according to police reports.

Theft

A resident in the 1500 block of Baytree Drive reported two taillights were taken from a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence, police said. Estimated cost to replace the taillights is $400.

Criminal defacement of property

A resident in the 600 block of Cedar Court reported spray paint was used to damage a fence on the property, police said. Estimated cost to remove the paint is $50.

June 7

Traffic violations

  • Juan Milan, 32, 107 Greentree, Bolingbrook, was charged with no driver’s license and speeding at Dalhart Drive and Corona, police said.
  • Nancy Garduno, 35, 621 Sundance Road, Bolingbrook, was charged with no driver’s license and disobeying a traffic device at Dalhart and Normantown Road.

Criminal damage to property

  • A resident of the 200 block of Fremont told police a passenger door was scratched on a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the home. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $250.
  • A resident in the 500 block of Cranbrook reported an unknown object was used to break a rear window of a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence. Estimated cost to repair the window is $200.
June 6

Traffic violations

A 17-year-old was charged with no driver’s license, speeding and driving and uninsured motor vehicle in the area of Route 53 at Taylor Road.

June 5

Possession of controlled substance

Jeremy Kneip Jr., 20, 425 Arnold, Romeoville, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug equipment at 135th Street and Macon Avenue, police said.

Criminal damage to property

A resident of the 600 block of Briarwood Drive reported a traffic safety barricade was taken from the street and placed on the roof of a vehicle, scratching the paint, police said. Estimated cost of the damage to the vehicle is $100.

June 4

Curfew violation

Romeoville police said they arrested a 17-year-old at 1:43 a.m. in connection with curfew violations and failure to dim headlights in the area of Budler Road and Weslake Parkway.

Underage possession of alcohol

Kelechukwu Akuba, 18, 6107 Knoll Valley Drive, Willowbrook, was charged with underage possession of alcohol following his arrest by Romeoville police at 1:43 a.m. at Budler Road and Weslake Parkway, according to police.

Criminal damage to property

  • A resident of the 300 block of Elmwood reported two planks from a fence in the back yard of the residence were damaged, police said. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $100.
  • A resident in the 1700 block of Fiddyment told police a sharp object was used to damage a tire on a vehicle that was parked in the street in front of the residence.

Theft

A customer at a business in the 100 block of Highpoint reported the theft of an iPod MP3 player that was placed in an unlocked locker in the business. Estimated cost of the i-Pod is $249.99.

Residential burglary

A resident of the 0-100 block of Strawflower reported a bicycle was taken when the garage was left open and unattended, police said. Estimated cost of the bicycle is $150.

June 3

Illegal consumption of alcohol

Jermol Tilson, 18, 139 Foxglove Court, Romeoville, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor following his arrest in the 100 block of Highpoint Drive, police said.

Theft of a motor vehicle

A resident of the first block of Abbeywood Drive reported the theft of a motor vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence. Estimated cost of the vehicle is $25,000.
