Thief seizes opportunity — and Xbox game
A shopper who looked away from his purchases to answer a cell phone call turned back to find that an Xbox game — which he’d already paid for — was missing from his shopping cart. The game is worth an estimated $64, police said.

Car battery stolen
Someone stole a battery from a company vehicle parked in the 200 block of Rocbaar Drive, police said. The battery was worth an estimated $240.

Cash, other items stolen during burglary
A burglar entered an unlocked garage the 400 block of Frieh and removed the contents from the glove box of a vehicle parked inside. Estimated value of the stolen items, which included cash, is $102.
Car burglarized
In the 500 block of Frieh, a car burglar struck again, entering an unlocked car and stealing a GPS unit worth $150, police said.

Phone stolen in smash-n-grab
Someone broke the side passenger window of a car parked in the driveway of a home in the 1600 block of Richfield Trail and stole a wireless phone, police said. Estimaed cost to repair the window and replace the phone is $300.

Window broken
A vandal used an unknown object to break a double-pane front window at a residence in the 500 block of Hamrick, causing $100 in damage, police said.
