Police Blotter: Thieves Nab Safe, TV, Guitars in Romeoville Burglaries

April 23

Purloined potables

A thief nabbed several bottles of liquor, valued at $150, from a business in the 0-100 block of Weber Road, police said.

Vehicle burglarized

A thief entered a car left unlocked in the driveway of a home in the 1000 block of Birch and stole a purse and several other items worth roughly $600, police said. A camera also was damaged.

April 22

Break-in burglary

A burglar damaged the front door while entering a home in the 200 block of Violet Drive before stealing a safe and its contents, worth an estimated total of $1,000, according to police.

April 20

$20,000 container stolen

A thief stole a $20,000 shipping container and trailer chassis left at the dock of a business in the 1100 block of Taylor Road, police said.

Stolen guitars, TV

A thief stole several guitars and a flat-screen TV, worth an estimated $1,100, from a home in the 300 block of Honeytree, according to police.
