Police Blotter: Stolen Vehicles, Car Break-Ins

Arrests made by the Romeoville Police Department and other police agencies.

Gordon W. McLelland, 32, 908 E. 7th St., Metropolis, arrested by the and booked into the Will County jail on July 23 on charges of criminal damage to property, unlawful use of a weapon, battery and aggravated assault.

Ezequiel Guzman-Barrera, 42, 514 Everette, , arrested by the Romeoville Police Department and booked into the Will County jail on July 23 on a domestic battery charge and on an outstanding warrant.

Alonte D. Jones, 19, 617 Mentona, Romeoville, arrested by the Will County Sheriff's Office and booked into the Will County jail on July 24 on charges of illegal possession of cannabis: 2.5 grams or less and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Danielle Grangent, 28, 520 Strong Ave., Joliet, arrested by the Romeoville Police Department and booked into the Will County jail on July 23 on a charge of retail theft.

Property Crimes

  • Several cell phones and chargers valued at about $975 were taken from a vehicle parked in business public parking area in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive. Theft reported at about 10:55 a.m. July 10.
  • A laptop computer valued at about $500 was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 0-100 block of Paladino. Theft reported at about 12:10 p.m. July 11.
  • A Super Duty truck valued at about $1,000 was taken while parked in a public parking area in the 100 block of Highpoint. Theft reported at about 7:45 a.m. July 13.
  • A cellular phone valued at $450 and being sold by a business in the 200 block of Weber Road was stolen. Theft reported at about 3:55 p.m. July 13.
  • Two semi-trailers valued at $20,000 and parked on the side of a business in the 1300 block of Weber Road were taken. Theft reported at about 3:50 p.m. July 13.
  • A UPS package containging a $799.95 iPad was taken from the front of a residence in the 1600 block of Rose Circle. Theft reported at about noon July 16.
  • Four tires and rims valued at about $520 were taken from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 600 block of Montrose Drive. Theft reported at about 9:55 a.m. July 16.
