Police Blotter: Sex Offender Fails to Register, Man Sentenced on Drug Charge
Arrests, incidents reported by Romeoville Police, other agencies, Feb. 10-14.
Monday, Feb. 14
Battery charges
- Joseph F. Scamardi, 61, 315 Murphy Drive, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville Police and charged with domestic battery, according to Will County records.
- Frank R. Saporito, 27, 504 N. Frieh, Romeoville, was booked on a warrant arrest stemming from a Romeoville battery charge, according to Will County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer. Saporito appeared in court Monday and was remanded to the Will County jail to serve a 20-day sentence, Hoffmeyer said.
Failure to register
Justin M. Aragon, 24, a homeless man from Woodridge, was arrested by Romeoville Police and charged with failing to register as a habitual child sex offender, according to Will County records. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility and his bail was set at $500.
Thursday, Feb. 10Drug arrest
Jesse E. Ochoa, 28, 423 Murphy Drive, Romeoville, was taken into custody on a narcotics charge after appearing in Will County court and sentenced to three years with the Illinois Department of Corrections, according to Hoffmeyer.
