Police Blotter: Romeoville Man Charged with DUI, Texting While Driving

Arrests reported by Romeoville police, March 8-21.

March 8

Steven Easter, 25, of the 1800 block of Marlboro Lane, Crest Hill, was arrested at 1:19 a.m. in the 400 block of South Weber Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to display ID and failure to change address, police said.

March 13

Joslyn Lamadrid, 35, of the 20000 block of Essex Court, Crest Hill, was arrested at 12:09 p.m. at a business in the 200 block of South Weber Road and charged with retail theft, police said.

March 16

Juan Rodriguez, 54, of the 1000 block of Murphy Drive, Romeoville, was arrested at 5:25 p.m. at Murphy Drive and Hemlock and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to display license, failure to signal, disobeying a traffic device and driving an uninsured vehicle, police said.

Jorge Madrigal, 57, of the 400 block of Anna Lane, Romeoville, was arrested at 12:11 a.m. at Route 53 and Airport Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and failure to change address, police said.

March 18

Cesar Chavez, 36, of the 1900 block of Brimstone, Romeoville, was arrested at 12:39 a.m. in the 1900 block of Brimstone and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving an uninsured vehicle and texting while driving, according to police.

March 19

Melanie Zembrzuski, 23, of the 1300 block of McCameron, Lockport, was arrested at 4:53 p.m. in the 200 block of South Weber Road and charged with retail theft, police said.

March 20

Timothy Johnson, 44, of the 14000 block of Hamlin in Midlothian was arrested at 7:37 a.m. at Weber and Normantown roads on an in-state warrant and a charge of improper lane use, police said.

Diana Rufo, 44, of the 300 block of Fremont Avenue, Romeoville, was arrested at 4:03 p.m. at a business in the 400 block of South Weber Road and charged with retail theft, according to police reports.

March 21

James Hatten, 28, of the 600 block of Grant Avenue in Joliet was arrested at 8:29 p.m. at a business in the 400 block of South Weber Road and charged with retail theft, police said.
