Police Blotter: More Than $13,000 in Cigarettes 'Smoked' in Heist on Enterprise Drive
Also, police report a lift welder was stolen from a construction site on Phelps Avenue.
The following incidents were reported by the Romeoville Police Department:
Sept. 17: A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 300 block of Macon.
A GPS, MP3 player, CDs, cosmetics and change were taken by unknown person(s)
from a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence. Estimated value of the items is $425. Time: 9:04 a.m.
Sept. 20: A criminal damage to property was reported in the 500 block of Glen.
Unknown person(s) threw a brick through the front window of the residence.
Estimated cost to repair the damage is $300. Time: 1:19 a.m.
Sept. 20: A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 200 block of East Daisy Circle. A money clip with cash along with identification was taken from a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence. Estimated value of the items is $76. Time 7:26 a.m.
Sept. 20: A theft over $500 was reported in the 0-100 block of Phelps. A lift welder was stolen by unknown person(s) from a construction site. Estimated value of the welder is $3,000. Time: 11:31 a.m.
Sept. 20: A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 1200 block of
Enterprise. Two hundred seventy-three cartons of cigarettes were taken by
unknown person(s) from a truck that was parked in the business parking lot.
Estimated cost of the cigarettes is $13,650.
Sept. 20: A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 200 block of East Daisy Circle. The contents of a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence has been gone through but nothing appeared taken. Time 5:20 p.m.
Sept. 20: A retail theft was reported in the 400 block of North Weber Road. Two
bottles of alcohol were taken by an unknown subject. The value of the products is
$94.15. Time: 6:37 p.m.
Sept. 20: A burglary to motor vehicle was reported in the 1600 block of Amaryllis Drive. A purse and its contents were reported stolen by unknown person(s) from a car that was parked in the driveway of the residence. Estimated cost of the purse and contents is $274. Time: 8:14 p.m.
Sept. 21: A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 0-100 block
of Concord. Unknown person(s) used spray paint to damage the siding of the
residence. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $50. Time: 10:30 a.m.
