Police Blotter: More Than $100,000 in Electronics Stolen From Romeoville Business

March 28

A business in the 1200 block of Naperville Drive reported the theft of several metal trailer ramps worth $600, police said.

Someone stole electronic equipment worth more than $100,000 from a business in the 1300 block of North Weber Road over an unknown period of time, according to police. The missing equipment was discovered when the company was doing an inventory count.

Someone damaged the window of a home in the 1600 block of Ashbury in an attempt to burglarize the residents, police said. Cost to repair the window is $200.

March 30

Someone burglarized a car parked in the driveway of a home in the 0-100 block of Sonoma Avenue, stealing a stereo head unit and vehicle battery, police said. The paneling and molding on the passenger side of the car were also damaged, resulting in total theft and damages estimated at $1,400.

Someone shiplifted headphones and a CD-ROM worth $40.88 from a business in the 400 block of South Weber Road, police said.

April 1

A vandal or vandals caused $350 to a mailbox and post in the 1900 block of Somerset Drive, police said.
