Arrests reported by Romeoville police and other agencies, May 25-June 9

Friday, May 25

No driver’s license

Rosa Rafael, 33, of the 500 block of Chicago Street, Joliet, was arrested by Romeoville police at 8:20 p.m. at Route 53 and McKool Avenue and charged with having no driver’s license.

Drug possession

David Medina, 26, of the 400 block of Haller, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at 5:58 a.m. in the 300 block of Emery Avenue and charged with delivery or possession with intent to deliver and possession of paraphernalia.

Theft

A business in the 1300 block of Enterprise Drive reported someone took numerous beams worth an estimated $2,000 from an unsecured outside storage area.

Friday, June 1

No driver’s license, other charges

Thomas Boles, 47, of the 1300 block of Argo Lane, Lockport, was arrested by Romeoville police at 10:30 a.m. at 135th Street and New Avenue and charged with no driver’s license, no insurance, hit and run and improper right turn.

DUI

Dai Nguon, 29, of the 9800 block of Fieldthorn, San Diego, CA, was arrested by Romeoville police at 2:09 a.m. at Route 53 and Enterprise Drive and charged with improper lane use and DUI.

Saturday, June 2

Retail theft

Maria Avalos, 51, of the 2000 block of Tilson, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at 11:04 a.m. in the 400 block of Weber Road and charged with retail theft.

Sara Alcantara, 27, of the 300 block of Woodcreek, Bolingbrook, was arrested by Romeoville police  at  11:04 a.m. in the 400 block of Weber Road and charged with retail theft.

Criminal damage to property

A resident of the 200 block of Susan Drive reported someone used a blunt object to damage a driver’s side mirror on a vehicle that was parked in the street in front of the residence. Estimated cost to repair the mirror is $75.

Burglaries from motor vehicles

Residents of the 600 block of Murphy Drive reported someone stole an iPod Nano worth $150 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence, and  through two unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway of another residence.

A resident of the 600 block of Jordan reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole prescription medication worth $39.

Sunday, June 3

No driver’s license, other charges

Fernando Cuenca, 26, of the 1801 block of W. 33rd St., Chicago, was arrested by Romeoville police at 12:05 a.m. at Weber Road and Grand Boulevard and charged with no driver’s license, uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting.

Retail theft, other charges

David Wolaver, 24, of the 2500 block of Live Oak Drive, Crest Hill, was arrested by Romeoville police at 5:02 p.m. in the 400 block of Weber Road and charged with retail theft, no driver’s license and was arrested on an in-state warrant.

Criminal damage to property

A resident of the 1700 block of Autumn Woods reported someone used a blunt object to damage a mailbox worth $150.

A resident of the 1700 block of William Drive reported someone used a blunt object to damage the driver’s side mirror of a vehicle that was parked in front of the residence. Estimated cost to repair the mirror is $200.

Monday, June 4

Theft

A resident of the 1900 block of Ashbrooke reported someone stole a package that had been delivered to the front step of the residence. Estimated cost of the contents of the package is $280.

Tuesday, June 5

Retail theft

Andrew Mooney, 23, of the 0-100 block of Seeser Street, Joliet, was arrested by Romeoville police at 3:14 p.m. in the 0-100 block of Alexander and charged with retail theft.

Resisting arrest

Jonte Quinn, 26, of the 1100 block of Grand Boulevard, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at 11:03 a.m. in the 1100 block of Grand Boulevard and charged with resisting arrest and arrested on an in-state warrant.

Aggravated battery

Sherise Fields, 43, of the 1100 block of Grand Boulevard, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at 11:03 a.m. in the 1100 block of Grand Boulevard and charged aggravated battery to a police officer.

Wednesday, June 6

Retail theft

Joan Edwards, 18, of the 1200 block of Santa Fe, Romeoville, and Anita James, 18, of the 500 block of Kathleen, were arrested by Romeoville police at 3:17 p.m. in the 400 block of Weber Road and charged with retail theft.

Driving while license is suspended, other charges

Jesus Mena, 19, of the 300 block of Dartmoor, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at 4:13 p.m. at Weber Road and Highpoint Drive and charged with driving while license is suspended, defective windshield and no front plate.

Thursday, June 7

Speeding

Mariel Gomez, 24, of the 2600 block of Cullerton Avenue, Chicago, was arrested by Romeoville police at 5:38 a.m. at Dalhart Avenue and Corona and charged with speeding and no valid driver’s license.

Friday, June 8

Driving while license is revoked

Juan Aguilar, 41, of the 22000 block of Pasadena Drive, Plainfield, was arrested by Romeoville police at 7:17 a.m. at Lakeview Drive and Weber Road and charged with driving while license is revoked and disobeying a traffic signal.

Retail theft

Eric Kelly, 32, of the 600 block of Cass Street, Joliet, was arrested by Romeoville police at 8:13 p.m. in the 400 block of Weber Road and charged with retail theft.

Criminal damage to property

A customer at a business in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive reported someone used a blue marker to write on a vehicle that was parked in a public parking area. Estimated cost of the damage is $50.

Saturday, June 9

Possession of cannabis

Nicholas Palomo, 22, of the 700 block of Geneva, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at 4:41 p.m. in the 700 block of Delta and charged with possession of cannabis.

Speeding

Rafael Salcido-Aguilar, 39, of the 700 block of N. Reed Street, Joliet, was arrested by Romeoville police at 6:24 a.m. at 135th Street and Poplar and charged with speeding and no valid driver’s license.
