Police Blotter: Diner Dashes, Steals DVDs
Incidents, arrests reported by the Romeoville Police Department and other agencies, March 3-15.
March 15
Burglary arrest
Efren Romero Reyes, 45, 345 Emery, Romeoville, was arrested by Joliet police and charged with burglary and knowingly damaging property, according to Will County reports. His bail was set at $7,500.
March 14Property damage
An unknown object was used to put four holes in the vinyl siding of a garage and puncture the lining of a pool at a home in the 200 block of Murphy Drive, police said. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $1,400.

Trailer stolen
Someone stole a 48-foot trailer valued at $1,000 from a business in the 1000 block of Schmidt, according to police.
March 12Stolen purse
Someone stole a purse that was left unattended on a table at a business in the 600 block of Weber Road, police said. Estimated value of the contents of the purse is $750.

Property damage
A vandal used a blunt object to break the driver’s side window of a car parked on the street in front of a home in the 1500 block of Baytree Drive, police said.
March 9Graffiti
Vandals used spray paint to damage to exterior of a business in the 700 block of Normantown Road, police said. Estimated cost to remove the paint is $150.
Window smashed
Someone used a blunt object to break the driver’s side window of a car parked in a public parking area in the 500 block of Fair Meadows Drive, according to police reports. Estimated cost to repair the window is $200.
Dine-n-dash, and then some
A customer ate dinner at a business in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive, then left without paying the bill. Several DVDs that were on display were also stolen, police said. Estimated cost of the meal and DVDs is $85.
DUI charge
Grzegorz Czernecki, 44, 2604 Heritage Lakes Drive, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at Route 53 and Murphy Drive and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane use and failure to yield.
March 3Pot charges
Belinda Herrera, 22, 20439 Kingsbrook Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested by Romeoville police at Naperville Drive and Dalhart and charged with marijuana possession and possession of drug equipment.
