Police Blotter: Cars Burglarized
Incidents reported by Romeoville Police Department, April 29-May 1.
WEDNESDAY, May 11
Items stolen
- A burglar entered a car parked in a garage that had been left open in the 1900 block of Tuscany and stole a stereo worth $230, police said.
- A thief nabbed 50 feet of copper wire that was cut from a working telephone line to a business in the 1100 block of Independence, police said. The crime caused a telephone service outage for the business and $200 worth of damage.

Someone broke the rear window of a car parked in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive and stole $3,500 worth of tools and other items, police said.
Tire slashed
A sharp object was used to cause $145 worth of damage to the tire of a vehicle parked in the 1200 block of Santa Fe Road, police said.
April 29Stolen movies
A DVD and several Blu-Ray movies worth a total of $800 were stolen from a business in the 400 block of Weber Road, according to police.
