Police Blotter: Burglaries, Stolen Gas, Battery Charges
Arrests, incidents reported by Romeoville Police Department, other agencies, Jan. 23-Feb. 9.
Wednesday, Feb. 9
Burglary charges
Jerry T. Funakoshi, 20, 2065 White Cliffe Drive, Romeoville, was arrested by Will County police and booked on warrants for two counts of residential burglary and three counts of burglary. Sheriff’s department spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said the arrest stems from Romeoville incidents dating back to April and May 2010.
Tuesday, Feb. 8Warrant arrest
Daniel Christopher Ford, 22, 1624 Rose Lane, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville Police and booked on Will County warrants for failure to appear, according to Will County records. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. Bail was set at $5,500.

Drug paraphernalia
Alfonso Avitia, 24, 1956 Whitmore Drive, Romeoville, was arrested by Will County Police and charged with two counts of driving on a revoked or suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and improperly displaying registration plate/sticker, according to police.
Battery arrest
Andrew G. Simmons, 25, 488 Bershire, Romeoville, was arrested by Bolingbrook Police and charged with domestic battery, according to Will County records.

Burglary with property damage
Someone entered a business in the 200 block of Normantown Road and sprayed fire extinguishers in several rooms, along with spraying black spray paint on several walls and a computer monitor, police said. A vending machine and door were also damaged. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $800.
Traffic arrest
Juan Arjon, 21, was arrested by Romeoville Police and charged with not having a valid license and speeding, police said.
Stolen backpack
Someone stole a calculator, text books and a backpack from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 0-100 block of Beacon, according to police. Estimated value of the items is $60.
No license
Eric Lazaro, 18, 1620 Daylily Drive, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville Police and charged with driving without a valid license, according to police.
Pump and run
A customer pumped $19.04 worth of gasoline into a vehicle at a gas station in the 1300 block of Normantown Road and drove off without paying, police said.
Tuesday, Jan. 25Stolen satellite radio
Someone used a blunt object to shatter the window of a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Lakeview Drive and stole a radio and satellite receiver, police said. Cost to replace the items and repair damage to the dashboard is estimated at $700.
Sunday, Jan. 23Jewelry stolen
Someone stole several pieces of jewelry and cash, valued at a total of $2,100, during a residential burglary in the 1600 block of Rose Lane, according to police.
DUI arrest
Bobby Mendoza, 20, 807 Madison Boulevard, Bolingbrook, was arrested by Romeoville Police and charged with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane use and failure to wear a seat belt.
