Police Blotter: Arrests for DUI, Underage Drinking, Curfew Violation

Arrests reported by Romeoville Police, Sept. 1-5.

Sept. 1

DUI arrest

Lesandra Ceballos, 36, 21310 Edison Lane, Plainfield, was arrested at 3 a.m. near I-55 and Weber Road and charged with DUI, failure to reduce speed, use of unsafe tires and failure to notify the secretary of state of an address change, police said.

Woman booked for disorderly conduct

Rochelle Robinson, 41, 228 E. Savannah, Romeoville, was arrested at 3:22 p.m. in the 200 block of East Savannah and charged with disorderly conduct, according to police.

In-state warrants

Montrell Bracey, 22, 1524 Azalea, Romeoville, was arrested in the 1500 block of Azalea and booked on two in-state warrants, police said.

Sept. 2

Man charged with pot possession

Heriberto Vasquez, 35, 301 Hamrick, Romeoville, was arrested at 2:35 a.m. in the 400 block of Haller and charged with possession of cannabis and driving with no registration lights, police said.

Lockport resident charged with underage drinking

Michael Schiro, 19, 15921 Aberdeen Drive, Lockport, was arrested at 3:17 a.m. in the 400 block of South Weber Road and charged with underage consumption of alcohol, according to a police report.

Traffic arrests

Marquise Moore, 33, 224 Highpoint Drive, Romeoville, was arrested at 11:28 a.m. at Highpoint and Wespark Parkway and charged with driving on a suspended license, no seat belt and no insurance, police said.

Gauri Mittal, 41, 7701 Dalewood Parkway, Woodridge, was arrested at 6:17 p.m. at Weber and Normantown roads and charged with disobeying a traffic signal and driving without insurance. Mittal was also booked on a Will County warrant, police said.

Hit and run arrests

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested at 6:17 p.m. and charged with failure to yield, driving without a valid license and leaving the scene of an accident at Taylor Road and Weber Road.

Penny Helfer, 41, 21626 W. Larch Drive, Plainfield, was arrested at 7:21 p.m. at Weber Road south of Windham Parkway and charged with hit and run, driving on a revoked license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, police said.

Sept. 3

Man charged with DUI

Carlos Mendoza-Perez, 31, 148 Briarcliff, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 1:19 a.m. at Route 53 and Marquette and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegally transporting alcohol, driving without a valid license, driving without insurance, no seat belt, no taillights and a defective windshield, according to a police report.

Man booked on warrant, charged with driving without a license

Francisco Leon-Vazquez, 27, 1312 Argo Lane, Lockport, was arrested at 1:25 a.m. on Route 53 and charged with driving without a license, driving without insurance, no seat belt and no registration light. He was also booked on an in-state warrant, according to police.

Sept. 4

Traffic arrests

Carlos Luna-Herrera, 34, 607 Murphy Drive, Romeoville, was arrested at 1:19 a.m. at Center and Normantown and charged with driving on a suspended license and disobeying a stop sign, police said.

Jorge Noyola, 24, 1268 Cora St., Joliet, was arrested at 9:24 a.m. at Route 53 and Airport Road and charged with driving without a license, no insurance and speeding, according to records.

Warrant arrest

Sergio Hermosillo, 22, 415 Laurel, Romeoville, was arrested at 8:07 a.m. in the 400 block of Laurel on an in-state warrant, police said.

Sept. 5

Man booked for retail theft

Jose Martinez, 51, 165 Ferngate, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 7:27 p.m. in the 400 block of North Weber and charged with retail theft, according to police.

Joliet man booked for driving without license

Nicolas Chavez, 24, 1012 Campbell, Joliet, was arrested at 6:55 a.m. at Route 53 and Greenwood and charged with driving on a suspended license and speeding, according to police.

Teen charged with curfew violation

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested at 11:17 p.m. in the 200 block of Romeo Road and charged with curfew violation, police
