Police Blotter: 40-Year-Old Romeoville Man Charged in Domestic Battery Case

Also, police report the value of items missing at $2,798 following a residential burglary on the 1800 block of Winding Ridge.

The following incidents were reported by the Romeoville Police Department and the Will County Sheriff’s Office:

Jan. 17: Abdus S. Khan, 40, 1661 Aster, Romeoville, was charged with domestic battery/physical contact. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Dec. 28: A residential burglary was reported in the 1800 block of Winding Ridge. Unknown person(s) entered the residence and took several power tools, gift cards, jewelry and computing equipment. Estimated cost of the items is $2,798. Time: 4:55 p.m.

Dec. 30: A retail theft was reported in the 600 block of South Weber Road. An unknown person took two bottles of liquor from the business. Value of the product is $47.98. Time: 12:04 p.m.

Dec. 31: A theft from motor vehicle was reported in the 1200 block of Normantown Road. A spare tire and jack was taken by unknown person(s) from a vehicle that was parked in the business’ lot. Estimated value is $209. Time: 4:54 a.m.

Jan. 2: A theft of motor vehicle parts was reported in the 200 block of Normantown Road. Unknown person(s) removed a catalytic converter from a vehicle that was parked in the business lot. Estimated cost of the auto part is $840. Time: 1:48 p.m.

Jan. 5: A criminal damage to property was reported in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive. The rear window of a vehicle that was parked in the business’ lot was broken by unknown person(s). Estimated cost to repair the damage is $150. Time: 10:27 a.m.
