Plainfield Hosts Rescue Team Training

The Plainfield Fire Protection District shared images of the recent CART, Combined Area Rescue Team, training class that took place at the district's Administration and Training Facility, 23748 W. 135th St. 

The class was coordinated by Plainfield Fire Deputy Chief Jon Stratton and is part of the CART Team’s ongoing monthly training. 

The CART Team is responsible for specialized rescues for incidents that involve structural collapse, trench rescues, confined space rescues and high angle rescues; for example workers on cell towers and water towers. 

This CART Team training was comprised of members from the following fire agencies: Plainfield, Oswego, Park Forest, Mokena, Manhattan, Frankfort, Orland Park, Alsip, Homer Township and Bourbonnais.
