Kids, families tour Fire Station 3 during National Fire Prevention Week event.
It was an educational experience for local families Saturday as the Romeoville Fire Department hosted an open house in conjuction with National Fire Prevention Week.
Kids got to check out fire trucks and ambulances, not to mention an inflatable, and residents had the opportunity to tour Fire Station 3, 698 Birch Lane. Firefighters also conducted demonstrations, including a mock vechile extrication, during the Oct. 15 event.
