Muskrat Traps Stolen in Lakewood Falls: Police

Traps set by retention pond went missing, police said.

The owner of a company that deals with nuisance wildlife reported that nine muskrat traps were stolen from the Lakewood Falls subdivision last week, according to the Will County Sheriff's Department.

"The owner of Nuisance Wildlife Control stated that persons unknown stole nine muskrat traps that he had set near the north retention pond" at Taylor Road and Weslake parkway, police said.

The business has a contract with the Lakewood Falls Homeowners Association, police said.
