Motel Manager Busted for Groping Teen, Cops Say

Amrut Patel, charged with criminal sexual abuse, also allegedly exposed himself to the 15-year-old girl, according to the Joliet police.

The manager of the Star Inn Motel in Joliet has been arrested for allegedly exposing himself and groping a 15-year-old girl who was staying at the Jefferson Street business.

Patel B. Amrut, 50, who lives at the 2219 W. Jefferson St. motel, was arrested Friday and charged with criminal sexual abuse with force in connection with the incident that occurred in June, Joliet police Cmdr. Brian Benton said.

The victim told police that Amrut exposed his genitals to her and fondled her breasts in the motel office, Benton said.

Both she and Patel were interviewed at the time, and the case was referred to the Will County State's Attorney's Office, he said. Charges were filed last week and Patel arrested on Friday.

Patel was released from the Will County jail over the weekend after posting 10 percent of his $30,000 bond.

Then the next thing you know their trying to buy your business and shut it down...kind of like they do here in Joliet. They condemn your house, buy it,fix it up and sell it.once allowed to do this they continue it until someone with a lot of money to fight back takes them to court...they will start finding reasons to close businesses to take them over.

Ugh! He appeared to be nice! Idk he was like that! This damn man STILL works there, not to even know he lived there too! There are some nice employees who work there. This Hispanic girl and this older Caucasian woman. She told me her and her husband reside there too. It is just as cheap as the Fenton but I got my laptop stolen there and will NOT do business w/them ever again! I will continue to live outside before I deal w/them and as senseless as this sounds wouldn't care if they were giving rooms away w/their square a**es! The rooms can be dirty if you have a housekeeper w/poor cleaning skills or is just lazy but for the most part, the rooms I get are generally up to par for what's it's worth. Just wish I could afford at least 2 weeks. A night or two is all I can afford and the only roof I can get over my head w/a toilet and running water. They really need to clean up that place! Other than that, you can't beat their price as far as being the next cheapest. Plus I can watch BET all day long if I want but eventually I do turn to other channels. They have free wi-fi there, if you have a laptop, tablet, Android, etc. They need the flat screens like Fenton though. However, the riff-raff truly needs to go, so I agree with everyone who mentioned about the sleaze going around. There's also perverts driving through. I don't like that uncomfortable feeling. YOU AIN'T GETTING NO TRICKS HERE MFers! I DON'T ROLL LIKE THAT! I'd rather struggle and suffer than to get something from somebody that might give me something I can't get rid of but you got a lot of RATCHET H** out there who will do anything to get some money or maybe even a room, even at the Star Inn! Sorry! My living situation is screwed up but I do have a job paying everyone else for my hard labor and I work my mf a** off!
