Local Man Accused of Intimidating Witnesses

Police say Marcus L. Hall allegedly threatened a girl and her family following his arrest for residential burglary

Marcus L. Hall, 17, of the 200 block of Oak Creek Lane, Romeoville, is being held in the Will County jail on $100,000 bond after being charged with four counts of communicating with a juror/witness to influence.

According to Romeoville Assistant Police Chief Steve Lucchesi, officers originally arrested Hall on June 10 for residential burglary. Upon his release from the Will County Jail, Lucchesi said Hall allegedly threatened a girl who had made a statement to the police that helped lead to his arrest.

“After Hall allegedly threatened both the girl and her family, a warrant was issued for threatening a witness,” Lucchesi said.  “We take these allegations very seriously.”

Hall was re-arrested by Romeoville police June 15. Lucchesi said Hall would be required to post 10 percent of his bond, or $10,000, before he would be released from custody.
