July 8: Driver Charged with Pot Possession, DUI, Fleeing Police

Traffic arrests

  • Guadalupe Osornio, 25, 4247 S. Campbell, Chicago, was arrested at Dalhart and Corona and charged with driving without a license and speeding, police said.
  • Loretta Smailis, 31, 415 Healy, Romeoville, was arrested at Hale Avenue and Murphy Drive and charged with driving without a license and failure to wear a seat belt, according to a police report.

Michelle Malave, 30, 3316 Rose St., Franklin Park, was arrested at Route 53 and Honeytree Drive and charged with driving on a suspended license, driving and uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane use, police said.

  • Michael Harrison, 30, 343 N. First St., Wilmington, was arrested at Renwock Road and George Michas Drive and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possessing drug paraphernalia, attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving, speeding, driving without a valid license, improper lane use and improper passing, police said.
  • Jasmin Baskin, 21, 1224 Pullman, Romeoville, was arrested at Grand Boulevard and Fair Meadows Drive and charged with driving on a suspended license, failure to wear a seat belt, defective windshield and no front registration, according to a police report.

Trespassing

Timothy Steil, 19, 515 Sherrill Road, Morris; and Scott Cromwell, 22, 2310 Ashland Ave., Morris; were arrested in the 1200 block of Lemoyne Avenue and charged with criminal trespass to a motor vehicle, police said.

Marijuana possession

Jeffery Aikin, 32, 790 Farragut Ave., Romeoville, was arrested at Arlington Drive and Dalhart and charged with possession of cannabis, improper use of registration, driving an uninsured vehicle and driving on a revoked license, according to police.
