A Joliet woman is accused of endangering her children and felony property damage after allegedly ramming her boyfriend's vehicle outside a Crest Hill gas station, police said.

Connie Purchase, 44, of the 2700 block of Frontier Lane, is also charged with reckless conduct and reckless driving, according to Will County jail records.

Crest Hill Deputy Chief Brad Hertzman said police received a report of a disturbance at the Thorton's gas station at Weber and Renwick roads at around 1:45 a.m. Thursday.

The gas station clerk told police that a woman was ramming her vehicle into another car in the parking lot, Hertzman said.

According to police, Purchase and her boyfriend got into a domestic dispute at home in Joliet. After he left the house, Purchase allegedly put her children, ages 9 and 10, in the car, and followed him to the gas station, Hertzman said.

After the boyfriend went inside the gas station, "she ran into his car several times" with her vehicle before fleeing, according to Hertzman.

Lockport police located Purchase driving on 159th Street east of Gougar Road, Hertzman said, and she was taken into custody by Crest Hill police.

No one was hurt in the incident, and Hertzman said there is no indication that drugs or alcohol were a factor.
