Drug Conviction: Romeoville Teen Must Serve 24 Months Probation, Pay $1,077 in Fines

Jamil Gordon pleads guilty to unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Grundy County State's Attorney Jason Helland recently released the following felony disposition information:

Jamil Gordon, 18, Romeoville, pled guilty to unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a class 4 felony, and was sentenced to section 410 probation for a period of 24 months and ordered to pay a $500 mandatory drug assessment and court costs of $227.

Gordon was also ordred to pay a $250 DNA fee and a $100 Illinois State Police Lab Fee. He must obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation, complete the recommended treatment and submit to random drug testing.
