Romeoville Man Arrested as Raid Uncovers Drugs, Ammo in Bolingbrook

Police recover 16 grams of cannabis, drug paraphernalia and ammunition after executing a search warrant on Thursday night in Bolingbrook and take two men into custody.

A raid on a Bolingbrook home netted police 16 grams of cannabis—some of it individually packaged—drug paraphernalia and ammunition on Thursday night, according to Bolingbrook Lt. Mike Rompa.

Three men were questioned at scene and two were arrested, Rompa said.

He said the Bolingbrook Police Department REACT Unit executed a search warrant at 160 Malibu Drive at 9:54 p.m. Thursday as the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation by the Bolingbrook Police Problem Oriented Policing Unit.

"Upon the execution of the search warrant, officers recovered and seized cannabis, drug paraphernalia and ammunition within the residence," Rompa said.

He said Gilberto Zavala, 19; and Roberto Zavala, 24, both of 160 Malibu Drive, Bolingbrook; and Cesar Arguello, 21, of Romeoville, were taken into custody.

After interviews were conducted, Gilberto Zavala was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of drug paraphernalia and no FOID card. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Arguello was held on a valid warrant, Rompa said. Roberto Zavala was released without charges.
